Well, it was another loonngg day! Started the morning with our orientation! We learned basics of what to do & expect as the next step of our process.  At the end of the orientation slide show he put a picture of a little girl up & everyone knew immediately what was happening.  She was the little girl being adopted by one of the couples in our group.  As he put each picture up, he'd ask, "Does anyone know who this is?"  Of course each time, a couple would start laughing with excitement! When AubriAnna's picture came up I nearly broke down.  I have a feeling I will be a mess Monday! After the slide show he gave us a redbook.  It's literally a red book with pictures of AubriAnna & updates!  It says she is about 20 lbs now.  They've cut her hair so it looks like it's about an inch long & stands straight up!  She is smiling in every one of them!

We then had a group lunch then took a tour of the Tian 'an men Square & the Forbidden City.  It was VERY cold today & windy.  Between the cold & all the walking & climbing stairs over the past 2 days, my legs are feeling like noodles!  After that we went to a Silk factory which was warm & neat!  After we got back to the hotel, we went with another couple to a resturant called the Hot Pot.  It was pretty cool.  You literally cook your own food over a "grill" that's in the middle of the table.  I even tried New Zealand sheep tonight! Look at me go being all adventrous! lol For the record, I will not be trying it again! lol Too gamey for my taste!

We leave in the morning at 8:30 a.m. for the airport to fly to Nanjing city, Jiangsu province.  We'll get settled in our hotel there then Monday we'll get our sweet baby girl!  Can't wait!  Now I'm off to bed!  Can't keep my eyes open any longer!  Heres some more pics to check out!  Stay tuned......

The above pic is from the "hot pot" resturant we ate at tonight.  Bet this would be huge success in our area!!
Our Peking Duck from last night! Very good!  Well, all but the brain Jimmy tried! Yuck!

Entrance to Forbidden City behind us.

Guards at Forbidden City have to stand like this on 3 hour shifts no matter the weather!

The female lion. Baby lion is upside down under her paw!
One of MANY buildings the emporar used.  This was one of his offices.

 One of the Emporor's thrones.
Can you guess what this is in this last picture?  It's not man made!  Well, it's actually a man made rock wall which is over 25ft tall, but this was not intentally made into the stone!  Did you guess it?  It's a ROOSTER!! lol
