Our little princess slept real good again last night.  Had a hard time waking her up this morning.  She stretched for the longest.  As she was finishing her bottle Jess video called & we got to talk to them for a few minutes.  AubriAnna played peek-a-boo with them a little & laughed for them.  She would act timid then laugh.  I think she is going to absolutely love big brother & big sister!

After breakfast, we met Denise, our guide, in the lobby.  We took a taxi to the Lake Park which is a big local attraction.  The lake is over 470 acreas & the park is huge.  It is the most amazing garden I've ever seen.  AubriAnna rode in a stroller for a little while, but soon wanted her baba to carry her.

At one point, we saw a man playing a sax.  He was playing the Nanjing anthem.  When he finished, he spoke to us & Denise told him we had adopted AubriAnna.  He played a song especially for her.  It talked of family, children respecting their parents & coming to visit their parents & grandparents often.  It was beautiful.  AubriAnna was mesmerized!

As we came thru the rose garden we heard another musical instrument.  It was a Er Hu (like a violin with only 2 strings).  We ventured over to where the music came from.  An elder gentlemen was playing it & there was a group of 3 elderly ladies & 2 more elderly gentlemen there humming & looking at sheet music.  Denise said the man with the Er Hu was teaching.  They were all kind enough to stop what they were doing & speak with us.  Denise had to translate of course.  Jimmy talked with the gentleman about the Er Hu a bit then all attention was on AubriAnna.  Denise told them we had adopted.  This made them very happy.  They knew of Nanjing City Children hospital & we told them that was where she had her surgery on her lip.  One of the ladies said AubriAnna looked like me! LOL Said she had my cheeks!  I'm assumming since AubriAnna has chubby cheeks, that means I do too! lol I didn't care! I was honored!  Another lady said she looked like our biological child.  I thought it was so sweet!  When Denise told them that we had a 19 yr old & 17 yr old also, they couldn't believe it! Said we looked to young! Bless their hearts! Just so sweet! heehee

We took a taxi to head back to the hotel but we went a different route.  The rest of the ride was very emotional for us.  Denise had the driver take us through the crossroad where AubriAnna was left.  As we sat at the redlight there, I held my little girl even closer & fought back the tears.  Even now, I'm holding them back so I can type.  It broke my heart to know that she was just left there.  But I also was so very very thankful to God for allowing her to be OUR baby girl now.  I can't imagine what must have gone through the birth mother's mind.  Did her heart break to leave her little girl?  Did she stay close & watch from distance to make sure she was found?  It is a very busy crossroad & the Nanjing Children's hospital is less than a block away so she left her where she would be found quickly & taken where she could get care.  None the less, the ride back to the hotel was very emotional.  I couldn't quit kissing her little cheeks & hugging her.

We had to give her a little children's advil when we got to the room.  She felt a little warm.  She's sleeping like a little angel now.  Pray she feels better when she wakes up.  She has the best temperment!  She loves to sing, dance & play!

Enjoy the pics!  The lake park is gorgeous & pictures just don't do it justice!
 Crossroads where she was found.
This is part of the wall that surrounded Nanjing City during the dynasty era.  Each stone was hand made & the makers name was engraved into it so that if something happened to that stone, like it fell apart, they would know who to get & he would be killed.
Entering Lake park & leaving the city.

During their Autumn festival families will write a word on a red ribbon & tie to one of these trees. Said to bring good fortune in the coming year.
Looking at gold fish in a large fountain pond.
This represents the new Nanjing City.

Lots of people come to Lake Park to do Tia Chi (not sure I spelt that right) as a form of exercise & overall well being.

 Gentleman playing the Er Hu

He was playing a song just for AubriAnna.

These rocks are through out the park.  They have been made into speakers & you can hear music through the park.  It's a rock with music! Rock music! haha
Another shot of the crossroads where AubriAnna was found.  The tallest building in the background is Nanjing City Children's Hospital where she was taken.  Then had her surgery on her lip.
Our sweetie!!!
