We finally made it to Nanjing City yesterday afternoon & got into our hotel about 4 p.m. Jetlag had finally caught up with us because we both layed down & didn't wake back up until 6:30 a.m. this morning. We didn't even eat supper. What little we have seen of Nanjing, we can tell it's not as westernized as Beijing. I didn't feel apprehensive about walking on the streets in Beijing, but a little more hesitant here in Nanjing. They say it is a wealthier city, but you can tell it's not as developed. Saw a lot of factories on way to hotel. Saw some electricity factory & a Volkswagon factory.
When we walked in our room I teared up! In the middle of the room (which is very small) was a baby bed! We are so excited! We get our precious little girl today at 2:30 p.m. Our guide is coming to get us from hotel at noon to take us to a resturant to eat then to a Wall Mar (Wal Mart) to get some rice cereal, bottled water, snacks & some gifts for some of the officials & orphanage care givers.
The next time I update the blog, you'll be seeing our new addition!!! :))
